As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Narrative depends on support from our readers to fund our projects, pay our artists and writers, and support our small staff of technicians, editors, and copyeditors. Each tax-deductible dollar you give goes directly to bringing great literature to the world, online, for free. General Support of $25 to $34: for those unafraid to write longhand, our trademark Narrative Pen.

Narrative Backstage $50 or more a year: a one-year backstage pass to preview work exclusively reserved for members of Narrative Backstage. Go behind the scenes of great writing with Rick Bass, Ann Beattie, Charles D’Ambrosio, Jayne Anne Phillips, Robert Stone, and many others. You’ll hear about the writers’ lives and works, as well as candid tales about the publishing business.
Reader Support from $100 to $499: live from New York, Seattle, Denver, Santa Fe, San Francisco, and other great cities, one of our audio CDs featuring illustrious Narrative authors such as James Salter, Min Jin Lee, and Pia Z. Ehrhardt reading their work, plus a one-year pass to Narrative Backstage.
Donor Gifts from $500 to $999: a DVD of one of our Narrative Nights, in NYC, San Francisco, and other cities with Narrative authors such as Ann Beattie, Tobias Wolff, and others reading their works, plus a one-year pass to Narrative Backstage.
