Observations on Connectivity

as in

                             electrons of an atom

                                          are physically unconnected
                            to its nucleus
    but still determine
reactivity
(chemical) associations
and energetics of the atom

for example
             when my father was sent away to the psychiatric ward
                                        after attempting suicide              
                                        for the second time
we felt unconnected
