The Tierney Fellowship, founded in 2003 by the Tierney Family Foundation, each year mentors fourteen emerging photographers by providing ongoing support as they create new portfolios of works. Here we present a collection of images by the 2011 fellows, with varied subjects and styles, from postmodernist urban landscapes to nostalgic and primitive portraits to fantastical and moody evocations. Overall, the collection is marked by the confidence and elegance of the artists.
