The first line had me hooked. I love the humor and the glimpse of hope in the ending.

One baby step at a time, gradually getting inside the father, which gets inside the daughter. Wonderful story.

This is the kind of good read that makes Narrative a great magazine. The characters will stay with me as well as the insight into a teenager's life. Nice work.

Great story with some hilarious allusions to the nineties.

A really good, funny, and authentic story. Kudos!

This story had me at the first line and did not let up. So I printed it out. Read the whole thing. Loved the whole thing. "Bear With Me" is finely executed, unsentimental, compassionate, clean, and fascinating.
