Beautiful, moving, and crystal clear memoir.

Lovely and moving. This was a pleasure to read, painting an interior world exquisitely through carefully selected exterior details. I finish this with a sense of waiting so true to the age of the narrator being described.

I loved this story. It thumps along with adolescent anxiety that keeps the reader cautious and excited at once. I had to force myself to slow down through several paragraphs, which is my favorite feeling in the world!
