There are breezes blowing throughout the story, and they are strong at times. What stands up to those breezes is that voice. Robert could be anywhere and you'd hear him.

Beautifully written. The section about listening to the old blues records is so vivid you can practically hear the scratchy quality of the recordings. I expect we'll be hearing more from Mr. Taylor.

I loved this story. It is subtle and it is real. Like the protagonist about his uncle's music, I have trouble putting it into words, but I "get it."

This is a powerful story in a subtle way. Such good writing. Days after reading it, I'm still feeling it and envisioning it.
