Wow, this was an enjoyable read for me. I spent a lot of my childhood in Avalon, and I can recall the scenery vividly when I read your story. Humans are so funny, and I loved the characterizations of Blake and his sister. Poor Julia! I hope there is a silver lining for her. Wonderful work!

This was terrifically real, and compelling and the give and take of the awkward conversation in the restaurant was very well-crafted. This is the second story of yours I have read and both were wonderful.
