There is such a need today for society to understand the importance of balancing tolerance and truth. This is especially vital when it comes to preserving the power of quality pieces of literature created with complete disregard to political correctness. This essay lights a fire in the writer that will fuel the creation of raw, audacious works of art capable of punching the reader in the gut while simultaneously speaking to the soul.

A masterful piece of writing, thanks!

I love this essay, love its understated indictment of our shallowness, love its devastating ending. What a writing lesson. Thank you. I'm getting an MFA and I'd like to use it for my next critical essay.

Solid. Inspiring.
