What a great sense of place and an authenticity in this piece. I was reminded of my father-in-law and his South Boston childhood stories. Thanks for the great read.

A funny, yet sad story. I kept thinking about those young men afterward--how they were facing such a bleak future. It's great how this story was written with not one unnecessary word and not a shred of sentimentality.
Great story. I wanted more. The immigrant experience that is part of these boys is the base of the American experience. The dialogue was very clean. Not a word wasted. The sense of futility in the boys and their relationships seemed authentic and realistic. I enjoyed the story very much.
Nice story. It made me laugh and I love it when that happens.
