Superb story. This is what classic narrative is all about, Tense, elegaic and dignified at the same time.

There is such control in this exquisite story. Truths weave effortlessly through the narrator’s ruminations and actions. Just beautiful. As Mark so aptly stated; it’s elegiac and dignified while carrying the necessary narrative tension satisfyingly.
