As a man of 80+ and raised to believe gay people were prophets of the devil, I loved this story. It gave me a personal insight and a good feeling. The story is well written and left me with the desire for more.
Like Stan, I too look forward to reading more from Jackie Thomas-Kennedy. It's revealing to learn, as an older, (74), straight, white guy, I share the same need for love and intimacy as described by Thomas-Kennedy. Gender might condition attraction, but the depth of love and the intensity of desire is the same.
