I read both this story and the author's other piece, "Sarah of East Paw." Both are master classes in literary fiction. the characters and their relationships are complex, vividly drawn. The prose flows effortlessly, drawing you in. The endings strike the perfect note of ambiguity, not wrapping up everything in a neat bow, but making you think deeply. Bravo!
