Lovely story. Sad and moving. Congratulations.

Wonderful, moving story. Subtle and nuanced. I loved the psychology that came out in increments about the patisserie owners, the father who has been left by his co-parent, the little daughter trying to understand this brave new world.

Amazingly light treatment of loss and pain. Piercing but also touched with piercing insight. And just plain enjoyable to read.

I loved this story.

Heart rendering depiction of how all things--good and bad, happy and sad . . . eventually . . . in slow motion . . . go up in smoke
