This is a tense, emotional story. Sadly, it is more truth than fiction. In my opinion, it is well-written. It captures the essence of persons caught in the trap of political turmoil. The end of the story is not the end. The story goes on in the imagination of the reader.

The writing is forceful and cutting. Thanks, Mr. Mathes.
Fine writing. The story captures the immigrants' character and plight. The characters live on in my imagination.
