A Story

Excellent story. I was there with Paula, with the shoeless young girl, even with the old woman - math teacher - and the young boy with the bruises on his face and arms. The longing for something else in a grown dull marriage. Whether they will admit it or not, most have experienced this on some level.

Have read McCorkle before. Was really pleased with this story. Relationship old woman has with her son, Preston, reminds of similar one in recent read - Olive Kitteridge.

Thanks for this good story.
