Robin Hemley, a finalist in Narrative’s 2023 Fall Story Contest, has published numerous works of fiction and nonfiction, including Invented Eden: The Elusive, Disputed History of the Tasaday, named an Editor’s Choice Book by the American Library Association, and Oblivion: An After-Autobiography (Gold Wake, 2022). He has received numerous honors, including the Nelson Algren Award, the Independent Press Book Award, and two Pushcart Prizes. Hemley’s work has been published in Great Britain, Germany, the Philippines, Sweden, and Japan. Hemley is director of the Nonfiction Writing Program at the University of Iowa.
