Abraham Brennan spent the first fifteen years of his adult life as a touring musician. He was first runner-up for the 2006 Iowa Review Award in nonfiction and received work/study scholarships to the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conferences. Brennan is at work on a book-length memoir about his life as a musician on the road. “Where the Rubber Meets the Road” is an excerpt.
