Acree Graham Macam is the author of The King of the Birds, a children’s book about Flannery O’Connor. The book was named a Book All Young Georgians Should Read by the Georgia Center for the Book and was an Okra Pick by the Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance. She is an MFA candidate in creative writing at the University of Southern Maine’s Stonecoast program and lives in Atlanta with her spouse and two young children.
