Alex R. Jones won Third Place in Narrative’s 2016 Winter Story Contest. Born in King City, California, he received a BA from the University of Southern California and an MA from the University of Minnesota, where he was an Edelstein-Keller Fellow in Creative Writing. His essays have been cited as Notable Essays in The Best American Essays anthology. Jones lives with his wife and son in Los Angeles.
