Alexander Maksik is the author of the novel You Deserve Nothing (2011). He’s been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and is the recipient of a Truman Capote Fellowship and a Teaching-Writing Fellowship from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. In addition, his story “The Barbarians” won Second Place in Narrative’s Fall 2010 Story Contest. Maksik lives in Paris and Iowa City.
