Allegra Goodman is the author of several novels: Isola (Dial Press, 2025), Sam, The Chalk Artist, Intuition, The Cookbook Collector, Paradise Park, and Kaaterskill Falls. She has also written two story collections, The Family Markowitz and Total Immersion. Raised in Honolulu, she studied English and philosophy at Harvard, earned a PhD in English literature from Stanford University, and received a Whiting Award. She lives with her family in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
