Allen Wier

Allen Wier is the author of four novels, including Blanco and Tehano, and two story collections. He has edited a book of essays on style in contemporary fiction, as well as an anthology of short fiction. A recipient of Robert Penn Warren Award for Fiction from the Fellowship of Southern Writers and the John Dos Passos Prize for Literature, Wier is professor emeritus at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He lives with his artist wife in Alabama.
