Amy Tan is the author of numerous New York Times–bestselling novels, includingThe Joy Luck Club, The Kitchen God’s Wife, and The Bonesetter’s Daughter, as well as two children’s books and a memoir, The Opposite of Fate: A Book of Musings. A co-producer and co-screenwriter of the film version of The Joy Luck Club and the librettist for the opera The Bonesetter’s Daughter, she lives in San Francisco with her husband.
