Angela Davis-Gardner is the author of four novels, including Butterfly’s Child and Plum Wine, a Book Sense Pick that was also named a Notable Novel by the Kiriyama Pacific Rim Prize Committee. Both works are set in Japan, where Davis-Gardner spent a formative period of her life. A professor emerita at North Carolina State University, Davis-Gardner has won more than thirty awards for her teaching and writing. She lives in Raleigh.
