Barry Targan is the author of the novel Kingdoms, winner of the Associated Writing Programs Award in the Novel, and Surviving Adverse Seasons, winner of the Saxifrage Prize. Many of his stories have received Pushcart and O. Henry prizes and have been reprinted in Best American Short Stories. Targan has also written several poetry collections, among them Let the Wild Rumpus Start: Poems and Thoreau Stalks the Land Disguised as a Father: Poems. He lives in Greenwich, New York.
