Bill Spencer is the author of scholarly essays on the novels of Cormac McCarthy. Born in Macon, Georgia, he received a BA in English from Mercer University and an MA and PhD in English from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He lives in a mountain cabin in Cullowhee, North Carolina, with his wife.
