Brad Watson was born in Meridian, Mississippi, and received an MFA from the University of Alabama. He is the author of a novel, The Heaven of Mercury, and of two short story collections, Last Days of the Dog-Men, awarded the Sue Kaufman Prize for First Fiction from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and Aliens in the Prime of Their Lives. Watson teaches in the MFA program at the University of Wyoming.
