Carrie Brown

Carrie Brown is the author of seven novels, including The Stargazer’s Sister and The Last First Day, as well as a short story collection, The House on Belle Isle. She has won many awards for her work, including the Barnes & Noble Discover Prize, the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize, and the Great Lakes Book Award. A longtime resident of Virginia, she taught creative writing for many years at Sweet Briar College and at Hollins University.
