Christa Hillstrom is a native of Minnesota. In 2007 she made a film about Sewa Ashram, a rehabilitation center for Delhi’s destitute population. After receiving an MA in journalism from Northwestern University, she returned to India and continues to report on poverty, development, and migration trends in Delhi and rural India. Her memoir “Depth of Field” won Third Place in the 2009 N30B Story Contest.
