Dawn Davies is the author of the essay collection Mothers of Sparta: A Memoir in Pieces (Flatiron Books, 2018) and has published two notable essays in The Best American Essays 2015 and 2016. The 2016 recipient of the Arts and Letters Susan Atefat Prize for Creative Nonfiction, Davies lives in Florida.
