Diane Simkin Demeter

Diane Simkin Demeter is a playwright and the author of Frankie and Annie, produced at the Manhattan Theatre Club. She has also written three one-acts, including Carried Away, performed at the Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City and the Wooden O in Los Angeles. In addition, commissioned by the American Musical Theatre for the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Eastman School of Music, she wrote the libretto for a children’s opera, Moonchildren. Born in Manitoba, Canada, Demeter lives in Del Mar, California.
