Don Evans is a former reporter, editor, and photo-journalist whose humor column, “As Far As You Know,” was named one of the state’s best by the Illinois Press Association. His first-ever short fiction received a citation in The Best American Short Stories. Under the mentorship of Tobias Wolff and the Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts, Evans earned an MFA from Syracuse University. He has taught at Syracuse, Hamilton College, Friends World (London), and Westwood College, Chicago.
