Don Waters’s debut story collection, Desert Gothic, won the 2007 Iowa Short Fiction Award and will be published this year by the University of Iowa Press. His fiction can be found in Epoch, The Kenyon Review, ZYZZYVA, the Santa Monica Review, and the Southwest Review, among other literary magazines. He lives in Berkeley, California, with his partner, the writer Robin Romm.
