Doug Benerofe’s story “Elba in Brooklyn,” one in a collection of ten about the same family set in Brooklyn and surrounding suburbs, won Second Place in Narrative’s Fall 2013 Story Contest. He received his MFA in creative writing from Saint Mary’s College of California and lives in San Francisco.
