Elena Karina Byrne is the author of several poetry collections, including The Flammable Bird, MASQUE, and If This Makes You Nervous (Omnidawn, 2021). Her work received a Pushcart Prize and also appears in Best American Poetry. For twelve years Byrne served as regional director of the Poetry Society of America.
