Farnaz Fassihi

Farnaz Fassihi is the author of a memoir about the Iraq war, Waiting for an Ordinary Day. She has served as a foreign correspondent based in the Middle East and covered conflicts in Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Syria. A senior writer at the Wall Street Journal, she has won numerous journalism awards, including the Marie Colvin Award for Foreign Correspondence, two Overseas Press Club awards, and the Robert F. Kennedy Award, as well as several nominations for the Pulitzer Prize. Fassihi lives in New York.
