Gary Buslik has been published in many literary and commercial magazines and was a Pushcart Prize nominee several times. He is the author of several novels, short stories, and essays, though it is his work for travel magazines that has enabled him to develop a rewarding lifestyle that includes many free rooms and meals. He teaches literature and creative writing at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
