Gary Whited is the author of the poetry collection Having Listened, winner of a 2014 Benjamin Franklin Silver Book Award. Born in Sidney, Montana, he grew up on a cattle ranch along Shadwell Creek and received a PhD in philosophy from Pennsylvania State University. He lives in Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts.
