Gbenga Adesina, winner of the 2020 Narrative Prize, is a Nigerian writer and the author of the chapbook Painter of Water, a meditation on intimacy in the face of violence, published in the New Generation African Poets series by the University of Nebraska and Akashic Books. He lives in Brooklyn.
