Hayan Charara

Hayan Charara is the author of two poetry collections, The Alchemist’s Diary and The Sadness of Others, nominated for the National Book Award. His work has been translated into French and Arabic and has received several Pushcart Prize nominations. Charara is also the author of a children’s book, The Three Lucys (2014), winner of the New Voices Award, and he edited an anthology of contemporary Arab American poetry, Inclined to Speak. He lives in Texas and serves as president of the Radius of Arab American Writers.
