Ishion Hutchinson is the author of Far District (2010), winner of the 2011 PEN/Joyce Osterweil Award for Poetry and short-listed for the Guyana Prize for Literature Caribbean Award. Born in Port Antonio, Jamaica, he teaches at the University of Baltimore and the Maryland Institute College of Art.
