Jessica Reidy was born in Newburyport, Massachusetts, and grew up in New Hampshire. She graduated from Hollins University, where she won the 2008 Nancy Thorp Poetry Prize, with a BA in English and creative writing. She is at work on an MFA at Florida State University, where she also teaches.
