Joel Gardner won Second Place in Narrative’s 2018 Winter Story Contest and was a finalist in the 2021 Winter Contest. His film Sunlight Man, a documentary about his father, the novelist John Gardner, is in festival release and screening at colleges and universities. Joel lives with his wife in New England.
