John Tait, a finalist in Narrative’s 2018 Fall Story Contest, is the author of short fiction anthologized in the Crazyhorse 50th Anniversary Issue and New Stories from the Southwest. He has won four national awards, including the Tobias Wolff Award and the H. E. Francis Award for Fiction. Born in Niagara Falls, Canada, he earned an MFA in creative writing from the University of New Orleans and a PhD in English from the University of Missouri. He serves as an associate professor of fiction writing at the University of North Texas, Denton.
