Katherine Heiny is the author of the story collections Games and Rituals (Knopf, 2023) and Single, Carefree, Mellow, as well as the novels Early Morning Riser and Standard Deviation. Born in Midland, Michigan, she received an MFA from Columbia University. She lives in Havre de Grace, Maryland, with her family.
