Katie Davis grew up in Washington DC, and as a student at Columbia University began reporting for NPR, where she also worked as a producer and host. She went on to produce an independent series for NPR’s All Things Considered called Neighborhood Stories, the inspiration for a book she is writing. She is the recipient of a Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award and the founder of the youth group the Urban Rangers.
