Kay Exley Gunkel is a former newspaper reporter who earned a journalism degree at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and an MFA from the Sewanee School of Letters. A native of Georgia, Kay is at work on a collection of short stories inspired by characters she met on walks in Spain, on the Camino de Santiago, and in England. She lives in Savannah.
