Lael A. Mohib holds a BA in communications from Mary Baldwin College and an MA from Boston University in journalism and international relations. She has worked for BBC Media Action, the American University of Afghanistan, the World Bank, and the government of Afghanistan, where she lived until 2021. Her work has been anthologized in Children of Afghanistan: The Path to Peace, and she is founder and director of the Enabled Children Initiative. She lives in the United Arab Emirates and the United States and has four children.
