Lesley Howard, a finalist in Narrative’s 2018 Fall Story Contest, earned an undergraduate degree from Earlham College, an MA in urban affairs from Virginia Tech, and an MFA in fiction from the Warren Wilson Program for Writers. Born in Milwaukee, she was raised in Lexington, Kentucky.
