Linda Bierds is the author of numerous poetry collections, including Roget’s Illusion and The Hardy Tree (Copper Canyon Press, 2019). Her honors include the PEN/West Poetry Prize, the Washington State Governor’s Writers Award, the Consuelo Ford Award from the Poetry Society of America, and four Pushcart Prizes. Bierds earned her BA and MA, with an emphasis on fiction, from the University of Washington–Seattle, where she is the Grace M. Pollock Professor of Creative Writing. She lives on Bainbridge Island.
